Carbon fiber air scoop - Hyundai i20N
The air scoop is a duct that allows fresh air to be drawn from the car's front grille and directed to the airbox intake.
The duct is made entirely of carbon fiber (weighing only 150g) and coated with a transparent anti-UV and anti-scratch resin.
Carbon fiber offers numerous advantages over plastic, including almost no aging (which makes plastics brittle), significant weight savings, and a professional aesthetic.
We spent numerous hours on CAD design and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation to achieve the best performance. Our goal was to reduce the intake air temperature and achieve a slight dynamic supercharging*. The images show a comparison graph between the intake air temperature of a competitor's intake and ours*.
Our customers have noted an increase in dyno power, improved throttle response, and a reduction in oil temperature.
For installation, you can remove the radiator bulkhead, otherwise, it must be cut.
*All tests and simulations were conducted in conjunction with our carbon fiber airbox, but it can be fitted with any intake configuration.
The component was designed and optimized by FCEngineering, and produced by M205 Works
